Hi, I’m Tomiwa (TAW-ME-WAH), a Nigerian-Canadian registered provisional psychologist passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care. I provide a warm, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while working toward meaningful growth and change. My work is solution-focused and empowering, with specialized experience in supporting clients around body image, binge eating, trauma, guilt and shame, and racial identity. Drawing from evidence-based approaches—including CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, Gottman’s method for couples, and EMDR—I tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. As a BIPOC therapist, I am dedicated to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ affirming care that recognizes how systemic oppression and identity can shape mental health. Above all, I am passionate about helping clients reconnect with their self-worth so they can move toward resilience, healing, and thriving.
